Fr\u00fche Darstellungen ordneten sie dem 3. Jahrhundert zu; eine 2026 ver\u00f6ffentlichte Projektbeschreibung des italienischen Kulturministeriums datiert die freigelegte gro\u00dfe Villa in das <strong>4. Jahrhundert n. Chr.<\/strong> Die verschiedenen Phasen des Fundorts reichen somit \u00fcber einen l\u00e4ngeren Zeitraum.<\/p>\n<p>Was zun\u00e4chst wie ein begrenzter Fund wirkte, erwies sich als Teil eines erheblich gr\u00f6\u00dferen Wohn- und Wirtschaftsgeb\u00e4udes, eng verbunden mit der landwirtschaftlichen Nutzung dieser Fl\u00e4chen.<\/p>\n<h2>Die Mosaikb\u00f6den: Materialien und Ausma\u00dfe<\/h2>\n<p>Die B\u00f6den bestehen aus Stein- und lokalen Marmortesserae, farbiger Glaspaste und gebranntem Ton. Trotz der Jahrhunderte unter der Erde sind <strong>die Farben bemerkenswert gut erhalten<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Die zuerst freigelegten Fragmente waren nur ein Teil der Ausstattung. Mosaike schm\u00fcckten unter anderem den S\u00e4ulengang um einen etwa 400 m\u00b2 gro\u00dfen Innenhof am Wohnbereich. Die rhythmisch angeordneten geometrischen Muster weisen auf eine sorgf\u00e4ltig geplante Architektur hin.<\/p>\n<p>Weitere Grabungen brachten zus\u00e4tzliche R\u00e4ume und dekorierte Fl\u00e4chen ans Licht. Arch\u00e4obotanische Untersuchungen belegen damit die Verbindung des antiken Guts mit Weinbau und Weinherstellung.<\/p>\n<p>Besonders eindrucksvoll ist, dass die \u00dcberreste unter Fl\u00e4chen lagen, auf denen auch heute Reben wachsen. Das zeigt eine sehr alte Weinbautradition, beweist jedoch nicht, dass jede einzelne Parzelle fast zwei Jahrtausende lang ununterbrochen bewirtschaftet wurde.<\/p>\n<p>Im 6. Jahrhundert beschrieb Cassiodor den <em>Acinatico<\/em>, einen s\u00fc\u00dfen Wein aus getrockneten Trauben, der mit der Veroneser Tradition verbunden ist. Er wird h\u00e4ufig als Vorl\u00e4ufer des Recioto und damit mittelbar des Amarone verstanden. Die Texte zeigen, wie weit der Ruf der regionalen Weine zur\u00fcckreicht.<\/p>\n<p>Der Name Valpolicella wird gelegentlich mit dem Bild eines \u201eTals der vielen Keller\u201c erkl\u00e4rt. Diese popul\u00e4re Wortherkunft ist jedoch nicht gesichert. woodmart_inline=&#8221;no&#8221; text_larger=&#8221;no&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2>Benedetti La Villa: heutiges Weingut \u00fcber einem antiken Anwesen<\/h2>\n<p>Ein Teil des Fundorts liegt auf den Fl\u00e4chen der <a href=\"https:\/\/shop.allamarone.com\/de\/brand\/benedetti-la-villa\/\">Azienda Agricola Benedetti<\/a>, die heute Valpolicella und Amarone erzeugt. 2021 ging die Familie eine Partnerschaft mit den zust\u00e4ndigen Denkmalbeh\u00f6rden ein und unterst\u00fctzte den Schutz der Mosaike, um Erhaltung, Restaurierung und Pr\u00e4sentation zu erm\u00f6glichen.<\/p>\n<p>Die Erschlie\u00dfung entwickelte sich anschlie\u00dfend zu einem gr\u00f6\u00dferen Projekt. Restaurierungs- und Bauarbeiten sollen die \u00dcberreste sch\u00fctzen und ihren Zugang f\u00fcr Besucher gestalten.<\/p>\n<p>Die Entdeckung inspirierte die <a href=\"https:\/\/shop.allamarone.com\/de\/?s=mosaico&amp;post_type=product\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><em>Weinlinie Mosaico<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. Wie Benedetti verzichtete auch dieses Weingut auf die Bewirtschaftung der betroffenen Parzelle, um die Forschung zu erm\u00f6glichen. Es stellte au\u00dferdem Ger\u00e4te bereit und unterst\u00fctzte die vorbereitenden Arbeiten.<\/p>\n<p>Auf dem Franchini-Grundst\u00fcck kam ein weiterer Mosaikabschnitt zum Vorschein, parallel zu den zuvor entlang der Ostseite des Hofs gefundenen B\u00f6den. Damit best\u00e4tigte sich, dass <strong>die Anlage mehrere private Weinbergsparzellen umfasst<\/strong>.
