Les premi\u00e8res pr\u00e9sentations la rattachaient au IIIe si\u00e8cle ; une pr\u00e9sentation du minist\u00e8re italien de la Culture publi\u00e9e en 2026 situe la grande villa d\u00e9gag\u00e9e au <strong>IVe si\u00e8cle de notre \u00e8re<\/strong>. Les diff\u00e9rentes phases du site s\u2019inscrivent donc dans une histoire longue.<\/p>\n<p>Ce qui pouvait sembler une d\u00e9couverte limit\u00e9e appartient \u00e0 un ensemble r\u00e9sidentiel et agricole bien plus vaste, li\u00e9 \u00e0 la mise en valeur de ces terres.<\/p>\n<h2>Les mosa\u00efques : mat\u00e9riaux et ampleur<\/h2>\n<p>Les sols associent des tesselles de pierre et de marbre local, des p\u00e2tes de verre color\u00e9es et des \u00e9l\u00e9ments en terre cuite. Malgr\u00e9 les si\u00e8cles pass\u00e9s sous terre, <strong>les couleurs sont remarquablement pr\u00e9serv\u00e9es<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Les premiers fragments d\u00e9gag\u00e9s n\u2019\u00e9taient qu\u2019une partie du d\u00e9cor. Les mosa\u00efques appartiennent notamment au portique entourant une cour int\u00e9rieure d\u2019environ 400 m\u00b2, attenante aux espaces r\u00e9sidentiels. Le rythme et la pr\u00e9cision des motifs g\u00e9om\u00e9triques r\u00e9v\u00e8lent une architecture soign\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Les campagnes successives ont d\u00e9gag\u00e9 d\u2019autres pi\u00e8ces et surfaces d\u00e9cor\u00e9es. Les recherches arch\u00e9obotaniques attestent ainsi le lien du domaine antique avec la culture de la vigne et la production de vin.<\/p>\n<p>Le contraste est saisissant : les vestiges reposaient sous des parcelles encore plant\u00e9es de vignes aujourd\u2019hui. Cela t\u00e9moigne d\u2019une vocation viticole tr\u00e8s ancienne, sans suffire \u00e0 prouver une culture ininterrompue sur chaque parcelle pendant pr\u00e8s de deux mill\u00e9naires.<\/p>\n<p>Au VIe si\u00e8cle, Cassiodore d\u00e9crit l\u2019<em>Acinatico<\/em>, un vin doux de raisins s\u00e9ch\u00e9s associ\u00e9 \u00e0 la tradition v\u00e9ronaise. Il est souvent rapproch\u00e9 du Recioto, puis, par filiation technique, de l\u2019Amarone. Ces textes montrent l\u2019anciennet\u00e9 de la r\u00e9putation des vins de la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n<p>Le nom Valpolicella est parfois expliqu\u00e9 par l\u2019image d\u2019une \u00ab vall\u00e9e aux nombreuses caves \u00bb, mais cette \u00e9tymologie populaire n\u2019est pas \u00e9tablie. En 2021, la famille s\u2019est engag\u00e9e dans un partenariat avec les autorit\u00e9s arch\u00e9ologiques et a soutenu la protection des mosa\u00efques, afin de faciliter leur conservation, leur restauration et leur pr\u00e9sentation.<\/p>\n<p>La mise en valeur du site a ensuite pris la forme d\u2019un projet plus large. Les travaux de restauration et d\u2019am\u00e9nagement visent \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger les vestiges et \u00e0 organiser leur d\u00e9couverte par le public.<\/p>\n<p>La d\u00e9couverte a inspir\u00e9 la <a href=\"https:\/\/shop.allamarone.com\/fr\/?s=mosaico&amp;post_type=product\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><em>gamme Mosaico<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.
