Amarone della Valpolicella DOC Classico “Ambrosan” by Nicolis
Nicolis’s Amarone Classico “Ambrosan” is an absolutely princely wine, with great body and infinite elegance and vigor. The Nicolis family has an indissoluble bond with the land of Valpolicella, representing the history of wine in this fascinating region; Nicolis has been a reference since 1951, representing the soul of the wine of this land of famous wines that opens like a hand just north of Verona and that, like the fingers of the hand, gives us unique valleys of their kind ; valleys kissed by the sun and the mild climate of Lake Garda and the wind that flows along the Lessini Mountains.
The Ambrosan Classico “Ambrosan” by Nicolis borns on the “Ambrosan” vineyard, in San Pietro in Cariano, with a manual harvest and a careful selection of the grapes which are then left to rest in airy and dry rooms; after 4 months, in the middle of winter, they are softly pressed and here the must begins a long and slow fermentation where the Ambrosan Classico “Ambrosan” ages in Slavonian oak barrels and in barrique for 30 months. It gives us a generous and complex scent, ranging from notes of ripe fruit to undergrowth to leather. A really important and impressive structure for an Amarone Classico that stands out for its aromatic richness and for its elegant sensation of power.
