Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Classico 1994
After a winter normal temperatures and rainfall the spring was cold and with late frosts, followed by a hot and dry summer that resulted in low yields but high quality grapes. The harvest was complicated by the presence of persistent rainfall.
Assemblage: Corvina 80%, rondinella 20%.
Alcohol: 15%
Colour: Deep and thick garnet red.
Aroma: All the typical notes of Amarone such as cherries and dry plum. Wonderful bouquet, with fresh fruits and jam with notes of vanilla and hay.
Palate: Notes of red berry fruits with a long finish and touches of vanilla on a soft and rich structure.
Ageing: At its peak right now.
