Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Classico “Corte Vaona” by Novaia
This Amarone has been called “Corte Vaona” to enhance the ancient paved barnyard (corte) in front of the manor house, owned by the Vaona family since the mid-18th century, where the Azienda Agricola Novaia is located. The grapes of this wine are carefully selected from the vineyards owned by the Vaona brothers in order to obtain the same soft and well-balanced wine year after year, despite varying weather conditions.
Deep garnet red colour. On the nose it has an intense aroma, with strong hints of red fruits and black cherry combined with the peculiar notes given by the drying process. Characteristic are also the spicy nuances of dark chocolate and tobacco, as well as the goudron notes arising with ageing. Rich bodied, soft and persistent on the palate, with well-balanced alcohol, high extract, and a particularly intense mineral note on the finish, enhancing the product’s typicity.
If stored properly, this wine is likely to age well for up to 10 and more years. We recommend laying the bottle horizontally in a dark, fresh place, at constant temperature and humidity.
