Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Classico Superiore “Seccal” by Nicolis
Obtained from the grapes of the vineyard called by the same name, the wine is re-fermented with the pomaces of Amarone and Recioto, which are still intact and slightly sweet. This enriches the body, colour, extract, aromas and alcoholic content of the wine, allowing a long refinement in Slavonia oak barrels, where it remains for 16 months. Then it is left to age in the bottle for at least 6 months.
Strong ruby red colour. Intense bouquet with notes of ripe fruit, spices and tobacco. Full-bodied, generous, warm and long lasting. It leaves a pleasant dry and sapid mouth.
It goes well with savory first courses, grilled mixed meats, roasts, red meats, game and cheeses. Uncork the bottle at least an hour before serving.
