Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore “Campo San Vito” by Villa Monteleone
An old-fashioned ripasso, which ferments entirely in large oak barrels as tradition dictates, then “passed again” on the unsqueezed Amarone’s skins. A wine that has on its side a great typicality, shown in the enveloping and clear fruity hints, both in the nose and in the mouth.
Intense ruby red colour. On the nose it is fruity, with notes of blackberry, ripe cherry and raspberry. In the mouth it is full, enveloping and structured, very soft and fruity, with excellent persistence. It pairs perfectly with red meat based main courses, beef fillet and aged cheeses.
