Amarone della Valpolicella Docg “Case Vecie” by Brigaldara
Experience the unique taste of Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG “Case Vecie” by Brigaldara, named after the vineyard located in Grezzana – Valpantena. The vineyard’s high altitude and perfect exposition allows the grapes to ripen slowly and consistently, even during harsh weather conditions. The grapes are harvested late and dried during a colder period of the year, resulting in a slow and extended drying process that enhances the natural characteristics of a high-altitude climate, making it a true “Vigne Alte” or high-hill Amarone.
To produce this unique wine, grapes are carefully selected in the vineyard, placed in crates, and dried in the drying loft. During fermentation, the wine is in constant contact with the grape skins and is pumped over twice a day with a delestage halfway through fermentation, promoting color extraction. The wine is then aged for two years in small wooden barrels and another two years in large wooden barrels.
The Amarone Case Vecie offers a deep ruby color and an intense aroma of dried cranberry, kirsch, brown spices, figs macerated in sugar syrup, and botanical herbs. On the palate, it is fresh, suave, and precise, with clean flavors of cinnamon, pepper, tobacco, and potpourri. The wine finishes long with young, chewy yet polished tannins. Indulge in the rich and unique flavor of this exceptional Amarone.
