Valpolicella Superiore DOC by Carlo Ferragù
The Ferragù version of Valpolicella is genuinely superior, a weighty and expressive version of the style perfect for winter fireplaces and summer barbecues. Firey, in other words!
Assemblage: Corvina, corvinone, rondinella.
Winemaking: Guyot-trained grapes are carefully selected and harvested, then undergo a 30-day appassimento. Fermentation then takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel, after which the wine is aged for 12 months in American oak barriques for maximum concentration.
Alcohol: 15,5%
Colour: Dark, dense and brooding.
Aroma: A real full and fruity wine in the modern style, with intense spice.
Palate: Soft but structured, supple but full, hot and spicy with a long finish.
