Stars from the Consorzio Tutela Vini Valpolicella, for Amarone della Valpolicella
A very good year. A dry spring, then a very rainy summer; quality varied from area to area.
An uneven year: dry until flowering, then very wet, with a harvest that varied from area to area.
January to May was drier and slightly warmer than usual. June to August brought 575 mm of rain at San Pietro in Cariano and 461 mm at Illasi, against about 230 mm in a normal year, with some hail in June and August. Downy mildew pressed hard after the rains, luckily once fruit set was over; later, botrytis and rot needed care, helped by the September weather. Picking began around 13 September.
Amarone della Valpolicella Docg by Télos
Télos L’Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG
Télos L’Amarone is a bold expression of the Veronese landscape, shaped by the Castagnedi Family’s expertise. Made without added sulfites, this wine highlights purity and balance, offering a thoughtful approach to winemaking that respects both nature and tradition.
Its deep ruby-purple hue hints at the complexity within. The nose reveals ripe red fruit—cherry, currant, and blueberry—layered with floral aromas and warm spices such as pepper, clove, and licorice. A distinct mineral undertone of graphite connects it to the land, while aging in French oak tonneaux introduces delicate notes of cocoa, vanilla, and coffee.
On the palate, it is dry, warm, and well-structured, with persistent depth and a refined balance between fruit, spice, and oak. With time, the wine continues to evolve, revealing new dimensions.
The Télos project embraces sustainable and organic viticulture, focusing on producing wines with minimal intervention. Every bottle reflects an ongoing pursuit of quality and authenticity, ensuring that each sip tells a story of dedication and respect for nature.

TÉLOS – Famiglia Castagnedi
TÉLOS rewrites the idea of sustainable wine. Each bottle offers a pure, terroir-driven profile made without added sulphites, produced with vegan-friendly practices, and crafted to highlight both flavour integrity and consumer well-being. The project grew from decades of research in the cellar and the Castagnedi family’s determination to marry authenticity with forward-looking methods. Sun, soil, and water come together in wines that convey the character of Valpolicella while meeting modern expectations for health and environmental care. When you open TÉLOS, you taste nature itself.
Famiglia Castagnedi
With more than 25 years of winemaking behind them, brothers Armando, Tiziano, Paolo, and Massimo Castagnedi have expanded their original dream, Tenuta Sant’Antonio, into a 140-hectare estate known worldwide for premium labels such as SCAIA and TÉLOS. Their vineyards stretch across the gentle hills of the Illasi and Mezzane valleys, where the mild influence of Lake Garda fosters Amarone, Valpolicella, and Soave of notable personality. Cutting-edge facilities support a philosophy that favours ever more natural, character-driven wines while honouring the land that has sustained the family for generations.
