Description

Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG by Roccolo Grassi

A wine with great structure and softness, in which balance, finesse and complexity are sought. Here the tannins are very sweet but present and able to give the wine length and depth during the tasting. Very intense ruby red colour.
On the nose there are hints of cherry, small red fruits, plum, spices, tobacco and aromatic herbs. These aromas are then found in the mouth, and over time they become increasingly fine, precise and complex.
It is an Amarone of great character and personality, expression of a very specific terroir, the Roccolo Grassi vineyard, which gives this wine these unmistakable notes.

About Roccolo Grassi

Young and dynamic in the Veneto wine scene, “Roccolo Grassi” is a winery that was established at the end of the 20th century, in 1996 to be precise, in Mezzane di Sotto, a strip of land located halfway between the Valpolicella and Soave regions.

Bruno Sartori began making wine in the 1970s, but it was with the arrival of his son Marco first, and then his daughter Francesca, that the winery changed direction, setting a course radically focused on precision in the pursuit of wines that are clean and complex.

A family-run business, today the Roccolo Grassi winery counts a total of 14 hectares of vineyards, with a limited production of just a few thousand bottles each year. The philosophy is firmly rooted in quality, thanks to meticulous and attentive care of the vineyards and a winemaking process aimed solely at preserving the raw material, with great precision and purity.

Among the rows, the rhythms of nature are fully respected, and with extreme and rigorous attention, in full respect of the environment and ecosystem, yields per vine are kept low. Thus, harvest after harvest, they gather pure, refined, and concentrated grapes in every organoleptic nuance.

In the cellar, never forgetting the region’s deep-rooted traditions, every step of the production process is designed to enhance and highlight everything that the season and terroir have expressed through the fruit. In this way, simply excellent wines come to life.
