Brunelli
Wines by Brunelli
In the heart of Valpolicella Classica, in San Pietro in Cariano, the Brunelli name has been tied to the land for centuries. This is a place where vineyard work has always been part of daily life, shaped by limestone-rich soils, a Mediterranean climate softened by the nearby Lake Garda, and exposures that favour slow, steady ripening.
The roots of the family stretch back to the 18th century, when the Brunelli name first became associated with this area. Over time, what began as rural life centred on mixed agriculture gradually turned into a dedicated focus on wine. In 1936, Angelo Brunelli made the decisive step of founding the winery, choosing to concentrate entirely on the production of quality wines.
From that moment onward, each generation has contributed to shaping the estate. The transition from Recioto to what would later be known as Amarone marked an important passage, reflecting both continuity and adaptation within the Valpolicella tradition.
The vineyards extend across the classic hills of the denomination, where soils rich in limestone and minerals combine with favourable south and south-west exposures. The work in the vineyard follows a careful approach, supporting the natural concentration of the grapes that is essential for the production of Amarone through the traditional drying process.
Today, Brunelli remains a family-run estate, guided by a strong sense of continuity. Its wines reflect a steady relationship with the land and a long familiarity with the practices that define Valpolicella, offering a clear and consistent interpretation of the area.
