Corte Aleardi
Wines by Corte Aleardi
The hills of Valpolicella Classica have long been shaped by time, where vineyards, villages and stone cellars follow a rhythm that has changed little over generations. In Gargagnago, one of the historic centres of the denomination, Corte Aleardi stands within this continuity, rooted in a landscape where Amarone has long defined both identity and practice.
The history of the estate is closely tied to the Ferrari family, who have been producing wine here since 1789. Over the centuries, their work has remained anchored to the same place, gradually evolving while maintaining a clear connection with tradition and the surrounding territory.
The winery is centred around a historic residence dating back to the 17th century, with underground cellars where ageing takes place under constant natural conditions. Alongside this, a more recent cellar supports vinification and bottling, allowing a balance between continuity and present-day practice.
The vineyards, Bure Alto and Montepalà, lie within the core of Valpolicella Classica, with calcareous soils and favourable exposures that support the slow ripening of the grapes. Here, careful manual selection and a traditional drying process form the basis for the production of Amarone, which remains central to the identity of the estate.
Today, Corte Aleardi continues to present a coherent interpretation of Valpolicella, shaped by long familiarity with the land, a steady family presence and a focus on wines that remain closely linked to their origin.
