Télos
Tèlos – L’Amarone
Within Valpolicella, L’Amarone represents the most structured and complete expression of the Tèlos project, where a minimal approach meets one of the region’s most established styles. Built on the traditional method of dried grapes, it follows a natural path that aims to preserve both the depth of Amarone and the clarity of its origin.
The wine is produced without the addition of sulphites, in line with the philosophy of the Tèlos project. Fermentation is spontaneous, allowing the characteristics of the grapes and of the vintage to emerge without correction.
The blend is based on Corvina, supported by Rondinella and smaller proportions of Croatina and Oseleta. The grapes are selected by hand and dried before fermentation, following the traditional appassimento process typical of Amarone production.
In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby colour with purple tones. The nose is complex and layered, with notes of red fruits such as cherry, currant and blueberry, followed by spices including pepper, clove and liquorice. A clear mineral note, often recalling graphite, defines its link to the soil. Ageing in oak adds further nuances of cocoa, vanilla and coffee. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
On the palate, it is dry, warm and structured, with a balanced and persistent finish. The texture remains soft while maintaining clarity and progression across the tasting.
L’Amarone by Tèlos offers a direct interpretation of this classic style, combining the concentration of dried grapes with a restrained and natural approach to winemaking.
