Tenuta Villa Bellini
Amarone and Valpolicella Wines by Tenuta Villa Bellini
Villa Bellini stands on a lush hillside of Castelrotto, in San Pietro in Cariano, Valpolicella Classica. The estate, dating back to the 18th century, is surrounded by ancient cypress trees, chestnuts, traditional dry stone “marogne,” and features a hidden spring within a cave, along with a tranquil pond that gently merges into surrounding woodlands.
The vineyards span four hectares, forming a carefully preserved “brolo,” or walled garden, on terraced slopes facing east and southeast at an elevation of 150 meters. Richly diverse soils, abundant in limestone and underground springs, provide depth and distinctive aromas to the organically grown native grape varieties: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara, along with selected ancient Veronese vines.
Organic cultivation here is a conscious choice rooted in respect for biodiversity. Vineyard management prioritizes green manure, selective mowing to sustain pollinator populations, and precise, minimal organic treatments tailored to individual vineyard needs. Vine-training methods include traditional pergolas and high-density vertical espaliers, nurturing vines aged from 20 to over 100 years.
At Tenuta Villa Bellini, grapes are harvested and selected entirely by hand, with spontaneous fermentation and microvinification techniques emphasizing minimal intervention. Each vintage naturally expresses the authentic personality of the terroir.
The philosophy at Villa Bellini is clear and sincere: return the earth’s gifts in their purest form, letting each wine speak genuinely of its unique place of origin.
