Brigaldara
Wines by Brigaldara
Valpolicella is not a single landscape but a collection of places, each with its own rhythm, exposure and history. Few producers have embraced this diversity as fully as Brigaldara, whose work has long been shaped by a desire to understand and express the many faces of the region. From the heart of Valpolicella Classica, the estate extends across different valleys, drawing together a broader vision of the territory.
The roots of Brigaldara stretch back centuries, in a place where viticulture has been part of everyday life for over a thousand years. The modern history of the estate began in 1928, when the Cesari family took ownership, establishing a lasting connection between family, land and wine that continues to define the winery today.
Over time, the estate has expanded across three distinct areas – Valpolicella Classica, Valpantena and the eastern zone – bringing together a mosaic of soils, altitudes and exposures. This diversity forms the basis of a precise and thoughtful approach, where each vineyard is observed and worked according to its own character.
The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is among the clearest expressions of this philosophy. It is produced from grapes grown in the historic vineyard surrounding the winery, at the entrance of the Marano valley. Careful selection in the vineyard is followed by a long natural drying process, concentrating the fruit before fermentation and ageing shape a wine of depth and structure.
Today, Brigaldara presents a coherent interpretation of Valpolicella, where tradition, observation and a detailed understanding of place come together in wines that reflect the complexity and continuity of the region.
