Gini
Wines by Gini
In the hills of Monteforte d’Alpone, where Soave Classico finds one of its most historic homes, viticulture has followed a continuous path for centuries. Gini belongs to this long story, rooted in a place where volcanic soils, old vines and steady family knowledge have shaped the identity of the winery over time.
The origins of the family date back to 1570, and across fifteen generations the bond with Monteforte has remained unbroken. What has been handed down is not simply continuity of ownership, but a close familiarity with the vineyards themselves, where experience has accumulated slowly, season after season.
At the centre of the estate lies the historic heart of Soave Classico, where Garganega is grown on volcanic and limestone rich soils in sites such as Froscà and Contrada Salvarenza. Here, old vines and hillside exposures contribute to white wines marked by mineral precision, freshness and length.
Alongside this long established work in Soave, the family has also extended its vision toward the hills of eastern Valpolicella, where the Scajari estate adds a further dimension to the range. In both territories, the approach remains grounded in careful observation, respect for the vineyard and a measured style of winemaking that allows place to remain clearly visible in the glass.
Today, Gini presents a coherent interpretation of its land, shaped by time, continuity and a deep understanding of two distinct yet closely connected Veronese territories.
