Wines by Latium Morini
Between the Val d’Illasi and the hills of Mezzane, where eastern Verona opens into a landscape shaped by vineyards and small valleys, Latium Morini has built its identity over time. It is a setting where agriculture has long been part of daily life, and where the continuity of family work remains central to the character of the wines.
The origins of the estate lie in the Val d’Illasi, the historical home of the Morini family. For generations, the vineyards were cultivated with a direct connection to the land, a relationship that gradually developed into a more structured winery, particularly from the 1990s onward with the construction of a dedicated cellar.
Today, the estate extends across different areas of eastern Verona, including the hills of Soave and Valpolicella. This expansion has brought together a range of soils and exposures, from volcanic formations suited to white varieties to calcareous and clay-rich sites for red grapes.
The vineyards, now covering around forty hectares, are managed directly by the family, with a strong emphasis on manual work and careful observation of each site. Native varieties such as Garganega, Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella form the basis of the production.
The wines follow the classic denominations of the region, including Soave, Valpolicella, Ripasso and Amarone, each shaped by a measured approach that prioritises balance and clarity over stylistic intervention.
Today, Latium Morini presents a broad yet coherent interpretation of its territory, built on continuity, family involvement and a steady relationship with the land.
