Le Bignele
Wines by Le Bignele
In the hills of Marano di Valpolicella, within the historic area of Valpolicella Classica, vineyard work follows a long-established rhythm shaped by family continuity and a close relationship with the land. Le Bignele has grown within this setting, where agriculture and winemaking remain closely linked to daily life.
The origins of the estate date back to 1818, when the Aldrighetti family began cultivating land in the locality of Bignele. Over generations, this agricultural activity gradually evolved into a dedicated winery, while maintaining a strong connection to its rural roots and family structure.
Today, the estate extends across several hillside sites in Valpolicella Classica, with vineyards located around Marano, Negrar and San Pietro in Cariano. The total surface remains relatively limited, allowing direct management by the family and careful attention to each parcel.
The vineyards are planted with traditional varieties such as Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara. Work is carried out manually, following seasonal rhythms and focusing on the quality of the fruit, particularly for wines requiring drying processes such as Amarone and Recioto.
Production follows the classic wines of the denomination, including Valpolicella Classico, Ripasso, Amarone and Recioto, complemented by smaller expressions of the same territory. Alongside winemaking, the estate also welcomes visitors for tastings and short stays, maintaining a direct connection between wine, landscape and hospitality.
Today, Le Bignele presents a consistent interpretation of Valpolicella, shaped by family continuity, manual work and a steady link to its place of origin.
