Corte Canella
Amarone and Valpolicella Wines by Corte Canella
Corte Canella stands as a vivid demonstration of a family’s profound bond with their land, and the realization of a shared dream that has woven through the fabric of their lives. In 2009, Francesco and Adriana embarked on a transformative venture by establishing a winery, a bold move driven by Francesco’s deep affection for viticulture. Their passion was soon shared by their daughter, Gloria, who, despite initial reservations, embraced the family’s vision, enriching it with her own aspirations and energy.
The individuals behind Corte Canella bring their unique strengths to the forefront. Francesco, with his quiet yet profound knowledge of the vineyards, treats each vine with an almost reverential care, ensuring that every grape’s potential is fully realized. Adriana, with her innate knack for connection and hospitality, manages the winery’s visitor experiences and tastings with unmatched enthusiasm. Meanwhile, Gloria, the dynamic presence in both the cellar and the social media sphere, injects vigor and a fresh perspective into every aspect of their operation.
Located in the conducive hilly terrains of Cellore and benefiting from the sunny expanses of Val d’Illasi, the vineyards are a perfect cradle for their Amarone specialty. Embracing an approach that respects the land’s bounty, the winery focuses on selective grape harvesting and traditional drying methods to enhance the intensity and flavor of their wines. This careful attention extends through vinification and aging, where modern techniques meet a commitment to highlighting the natural character of the wine, rather than overshadowing it with external influences.
Corte Canella’s ethos is built on a foundation of respect—for tradition, for innovation, and for the land itself. It is this respect that drives their pursuit of excellence in winemaking, creating wines that are not only expressions of their environment but also of the family’s enduring commitment to their craft and to each other.
