De Buris
Wines by De Buris
In Valpolicella Classica, certain places seem to carry time differently, where vineyard, architecture and history converge into a single, continuous presence. De Buris takes shape within one of these settings, bringing together land, memory and intention into a project that looks both backward and forward at once.
De Buris is an oenological project of the Tommasi family, rooted in a long familiarity with Valpolicella and developed as a focused expression of its most structured wines. Conceived over many years and brought to life in 2018, it reflects a deliberate effort to interpret Amarone through a lens of continuity and precision. :contentReference[oaicite:5]{index=5}
The vineyards lie in La Groletta, one of the most recognised sites of the denomination, positioned at around 250 metres above sea level. Here, low yields and favourable conditions support the slow development of the grapes, forming the basis for wines that are defined by depth and balance. :contentReference[oaicite:6]{index=6}
At the centre of the project stands Villa De Buris, a place whose origins trace back to Roman times and which still preserves layers of history within its structure. It is here that the wines mature, following a long and measured path that places time at the core of the process. :contentReference[oaicite:7]{index=7}
The range is intentionally focused, centred on Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva and complemented by a Valpolicella Classico Superiore. Both wines reflect a careful selection of fruit, a traditional drying process and an approach that seeks clarity rather than excess.
Today, De Buris presents a concentrated interpretation of Valpolicella, where the vineyard, the passage of time and a deep-rooted family knowledge come together in a project defined by patience and continuity.
