Tenuta Sant'Antonio
Amarone & Valpolicella Wines by Tenuta Sant’Antonio
Tenuta Sant’Antonio is the result of a lifelong vision shaped by the Castagnedi family’s deep connection to the vineyards of Valpolicella and Soave. What began as childhood familiarity with the land grew into a pursuit of excellence in winemaking, guided by experience and respect for tradition.
In 1989, the family made a bold move by acquiring land in the Garbi Mountains, transforming what was once overlooked terrain into thriving vineyards. The first vintage under the Tenuta Sant’Antonio name was released in 1995, featuring Soave DOC, Valpolicella DOC, and Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG. Over time, the estate expanded, with new vineyards and the launch of the SCAIA brand in 2004, offering a fresh take on local grape varieties.
A commitment to innovation led to the development of the Télos line in 2010, focused on producing wines without added sulfites while maintaining purity and structure. Certified vegan and moving toward organic certification, these wines reflect an approach that balances nature and modern techniques.
With over one hundred hectares of vineyards, Tenuta Sant’Antonio continues to refine its methods, investing in sustainability, cellar advancements, and new winemaking projects. The estate’s vineyards span the limestone-rich hills of Valpolicella, where cooling breezes from Lake Garda influence the grapes, and the volcanic soils of Soave, shaped by ancient marine and volcanic activity.
The Castagnedi brothers remain at the heart of the winery, combining generations of knowledge with a forward-looking approach. Their dedication has brought recognition to the land they love, ensuring that every bottle reflects the character of the region and the expertise behind its creation.
